Training Schedule
Champions aren’t made on race day, they’re built in every tough set, every quiet moment when no one’s watching. Training is where belief becomes ability, and effort becomes pride.
Swim training is the foundation of every swimmer’s journey — where technique, fitness, and confidence are built day by day. It’s not just about getting faster; it’s about learning discipline, setting goals, and growing through consistent effort. Regular training helps swimmers improve their strokes, build endurance, and develop race strategies that prepare them for competition.
At Garstang Gators, our squad structure supports swimmers at every stage. Younger swimmers begin by mastering the basics — body position, breathing, and stroke technique. As they progress, they move into more advanced squads where sessions become more challenging, focusing on speed, stamina, and race preparation. Each squad is designed to stretch ability while nurturing enjoyment and team spirit.
Training also teaches life skills: time management, resilience, and the value of hard work. Swimmers learn to push through tough sets, support teammates, and take pride in their progress. Coaches guide them with encouragement and expertise, helping each swimmer reach their potential.
Whether aiming for a first gala or a national time, training is where the journey begins. It’s where friendships form, goals are set, and the Gator spirit grows stronger. Every length counts — and every session brings swimmers one step closer to their dreams.

• Tuesdays: 5:00–6:00pm at Garstang
• Sundays: 5:30–6:30pm at Garstang
Junior
• Tuesdays: 6:00–7:00pm at Garstang

Make a Splash sessions will be announced in advance and there will typically be one 2 hour session once per month for all squads calendar permitting
